SMS Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: June 17, 2026

These SMS Terms & Conditions (‘SMS Terms’) govern the text message (SMS) program operated by 4theONE Foundation (‘Foundation,’ ‘we,’ ‘us,’ or ‘our’). By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to receive text messages from the Foundation, you agree to these SMS Terms.

  1. Program Description

4theONE Foundation uses SMS messaging to communicate with individuals involved in or requesting assistance related to missing person cases. Text messages sent through this program may include:

  • Appointment reminders (e.g., scheduled calls, meetings, or check-ins with Foundation staff).
  • Case updates and two-way conversations concerning a missing or exploited youth case.

These messages are sent for operational and case-assistance purposes only. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

  1. How to Opt In

You may opt in to receive SMS messages from the Foundation in the following ways:

  • Mobile-Originated (MO) Opt-In: By sending a text message to any telephone number owned or operated by 4theONE Foundation, you initiate contact and consent to receive a text message response from the Foundation. Your act of texting us first constitutes your express consent for us to respond via SMS. This applies to both initial replies and any ongoing case-related conversation you choose to continue.
  • Verbal or Written Consent: Providing written or verbal consent directly to a Foundation representative.
  • Staff-Initiated Opt-In: Responding affirmatively when asked by Foundation staff during a phone or in-person interaction.

By opting in through any of the above methods, you confirm that you are the account holder or authorized user of the mobile phone number from which you are communicating.

  1. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. You may receive messages as needed based on the status of your case or appointment schedule. We will not send unsolicited promotional messages.

  1. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier charges for SMS and data usage apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. The Foundation does not charge any fee for this program.

  1. How to Opt Out (STOP)

You may opt out of receiving text messages from the Foundation at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. After sending STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent to your number, unless you opt in again.

You may also opt out by contacting us directly at info@4theone.org or via our contact page at https://4theone.org/contact and requesting removal from our SMS list.

  1. How to Get Help (HELP)

If you need assistance with our SMS program, reply HELP to any text message. You may also contact us at:
